The Employer Alliance for Affordable Health Care, the largest single-
business coalition in New York State, appointed three members to serve
on its board of Directors at the August 19 annual meeting in Saratoga
Springs.
Individuals designated for a two-year term were: Jeff Williams of West
Sand Lake, Rensselaer County; Craig Lacy of Medina, Orleans County: and
Pamela Finch of Oneida, in Madison County.
Williams is Senior Associate Director of Public Policy and Legislative
Director of the New York Farm Bureau. He received a Bachelors of Art
from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and a
Masters of Professional Studies in Community Service Administration from
Alfred University.
Lacy is the president of Medina Parts Co., Inc., a group of three NAPA
Auto Parts stores employing 21 persons in western New York. He has been
active with the Employer Alliance since the beginning, and also serves
as a director of the Medina Savings and Loan Association. His
appointment to the board took place August 19 at the coalitionÕs annual
meeting, held in Saratoga Springs.
He is chairman of the Town of Shelby Zoning Board of Appeals and
secretary of the Medina Canal Task Force. He is a committee member of
the Sandstone Society, a local group dedicated to the preservation of
our local landmark State Armory, and past president and a current board
member of the Medina Historical Society. Craig's hobbies include
history and local architecture. He is a lifelong Medina resident. He and
his wife, Sarah, have been married 34 years. They have four grown sons.
Finch is a media relations consultant who specializes in helping
non-profits and small businesses increase their visibility to attract
new customers. Prior to starting her own business, Pamela was public
relations manager for a Syracuse advertising agency. She also has more
than 10 years experience as a daily newspaper reporter in Upstate New
York. Pamela and her husband, Paul, live in Oneida with their son, PJ.
The board also reappointed Jeff Leland of Glens Falls and Rob Robinson
of Oneonta, to a second term. Jeff is the current chairman and president
of Leland Paper Co. Robinson is president & CEO of The Otsego
County Chamber located in Oneonta.
Founded in 1997, the Employer Alliance for Affordable Health Care has
more than 2,500 members, business owners, sole proprietors and business
associations who believe that everyone is entitled to affordable health
insurance coverage. Members oppose health insurance mandates that
increase premiums and make it harder for small businesses and sole
proprietors to purchase affordable health insurance. To learn more about
