Coalition Names The Otsego County Chamber as Chamber Advocate of the Year – 2007
The Otsego County Chamber and its president and CEO Rob
Robinson have been named the Employer Alliance for Affordable Health
Care Chamber Advocate of the Year – 2006 for exceptional advocacy
efforts in the area of health insurance mandates.
Selection was made from 55 business associations that partner with the
Employer Alliance for Affordable Health Care. The Chamber Advocate of
the year is based on an exceptional committed the chamber has shown in
improving New York’s business climate by opposing costly, unfunded
health insurance mandates.
"The Otsego County Chamber has been committed to returning
affordable healthcare to the primary source of funding of health
insurance -- the small businesses of New York, said Rob Robinson,
President & CEO. "It is extremely gratifying to be recognized for
the hard work we do for our members!"
The Employer Alliance for Affordable Health Care is the largest,
single-issue grassroots business coalition in New York State. Members
believe that everyone is entitled to basic, affordable health insurance
and oppose health insurance mandates that increase costs and contribute
to the number of uninsured New Yorkers.
